What is the Scholarship Gala?
The Gala is an annual scholarship awards ceremony that honors some of CHEC’s most gifted college bound students. The event also spotlights corporations, foundations and individuals who have made significant contributions to our school community. Attendees can expect to see live entertainment, a silent auction and dancing.
What is the dress code for the Gala?
The dress code is business attire, which includes suits and blazers for men, and suits, dresses and skirts for women.
Is my ticket to the event tax deductible?
Yes, however, only a portion of the ticket price is tax deductible. The IRS requires us to inform you of any items of substantive value that you will receive in return for your gift. The benefit received in return for your ticket purchase is valued at $30 per individual ticket. The amount varies for patrons and sponsors.
May I just give a donation?
Yes, because the school has a 501(c)(3) nonprofit your donation will be tax deductible. Click here to review our support categories.
Is there parking at the OAS?
Parking is available on C Street, NW (just off of 17th St., NW)
What are the nearest metro stations?
Farragut West and Federal Triangle. Both stations are on the Blue and Orange lines.
