ABOUT CHEC

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

We are always looking for educators and administrative staff who share our core values of social justice, that all students can attend and graduate from 4-year colleges and that our diversity is the backbone of this nation.

A CHEC education aims to help students become the leaders of the future. To that end, CHEC seeks qualified individuals with the knowledge, skills, and ability to enhance the student experience and strengthen our community.

If you have experience working in a fast paced and date driven environment along with a track record of being an effective professional, please email a cover letter and your resume directly to Mr. Pankaj Rayamajhi, Director of School Operations at pankaj.rayamajhi@k12.dc.gov.

  • CHEC and DC Public Schools requires appropriate documentation from employees verifying identity and authorization to immediately work in the United States.

  • A background screening will be required once a conditional offer of employment is made. The background screening includes verification of academic credentials, a criminal background check, social security number trace, National Sex Offender Registry, and completion of fingerprinting, which includes an FBI background check.

  • For teaching positions, a master’s degree and teaching experience in the field are preferred; a bachelor’s degree is required. For staff positions, we seek candidates with relevant experience, a commitment to excellence, and an enthusiasm for being a member of our vibrant and diverse community.
