We are Multicultural Career Intern Program (MCIP), a community-based educational nonprofit on the front lines of the war to close the achievement gap. We believe that closing the opportunity gap eliminates the achievement gap.
The unobstructed opportunity to learn, having timely and ample access to critical instructional and digital resources, constant and rigorous curriculum offerings, the abundance of highly qualified teachers - that affluent students have, is what determines what children can do in life. Far too many of the students at CHEC struggle daily with issues of access and equity. They work in the evenings to help support their families, they contend with housing and food insecurities. Some are homeless, while others live alone as emancipated minors. Unified by the lack of opportunity.
OUR STUDENTS AND IMPACT
Measuring our efforts allows us to be more accountable to our donors, to celebrate what works and to understand the challenges that remain.

2017 TOP 50 SCHOOLS
ENSURING THAT EVERY CHILD HAS AMPLE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN, GROW, AND SUCCEED.
Your tax-deductible donation will help sustain the efforts of MCIP to secure additional tutors for the after school program at CHEC, pay for basic teaching and digital resources, to help homeless girls and boys buy school uniforms, and reconditioned laptops.
We are always looking to partner with local businesses who wish to groom new talent and develop and promote diverse leaders.
We welcome volunteers to help mentor and tutor our students.
We also try every year to send our students abroad to broaden their horizons and build on their language skills. CHEC students have studied in Brazil, Cat Island in the Bahamas, China, Croatia, Haiti, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico and Paraguay.
Please consider donating your frequent flyer miles.
EVERY CHILD DESERVES A BRIGHT FUTURE.
